Introducing Our New Single Producer Coffee from Ethiopia: Tadese Teko
We are thrilled to bring to WPCR a remarkable new coffee from the heart of Ethiopia's renowned Yirgacheffe region. This exceptional lot comes directly from Mr. Tadese Teko, a dedicated farmer based in Shale village, near Worka town.
About Mr. Tadese Teko Living in the lush highlands of Southern Ethiopia, Mr. Tadese is among the millions of farmers for whom coffee is not just a crop, but a family livelihood. His farm, an expansive 8 hectares in the Gedeb district of the Gedeo Zone, stands out in a region where the average farm size is typically around 4 hectares.
Sustainable Farming Practices Mr. Tadese is committed to sustainable farming, utilizing only natural fertilizers made from organic waste. No chemical fertilizers are used on his crops, ensuring that every bean is nurtured to organic perfection. During harvest season, Mr. Tadese and other local farmers also lend their hands at nearby washing stations, supplementing their income and contributing to the community's thriving coffee culture.
Exceptional Coffee Typically focusing on washed coffees, Mr. Tadese is proud to have his coffee recognized and separated this year for its standout quality. The dedication to his craft is evident in every cup, with vibrant flavors that can only come from the richest Ethiopian soils.
